Details

Domaine d'Aussières, located in the heart of the Corbières, on the foothills of Fontfroide, benefits from an exceptional environment, between sea and mountains. This high-altitude terroir, bathed in Mediterranean sunshine, is ideal for producing complex and structured wines. The clay-limestone soils provide the vines with optimal drainage, promoting the concentration of aromas and the ripeness of the grapes. The vines are planted on the heights of the hills with a single shallow clay soil where water is scarce, resulting in low yields. 45% of the wines are aged in new barrels made in Pauillac in the cooperage of Château Lafite Rothschild.
