The Cécile Tremblay estate is located in Morey-Saint-Denis and has practiced organic viticulture and biodynamics since its creation in 2003. Its few hectares of vines are spread over different terroirs, from Nuits Saint-Georges to the grands crus Echezeaux and Chapelle Chambertin.
This Échezeaux grand cru presents itself through a beautiful purple color and reveals a complex and captivating nose mixing aromas of flowers, citrus peels and sweet spices. The palate is energetic, the tannins are melted and offer a very pleasant velvety texture. The balance and accuracy are there and persist until the final. Already a great wine in its youth, it will further flourish after 4 to 5 years of well-deserved aging.

Details

In 2003, Cécile Tremblay was only 25 years old and had recently graduated when she decided to return to her native village to work. This covers 4 hectares of vines between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Gevrey-Chambertin. The young woman has the chance to take care of 11 different appellations, including a few grands crus (Echezezaux and Chapelle-Chambertin) thanks to organic farming (Ecocert certified since 2005). In just a few years, this young woman, who is none other than Henri Jayer's great-niece, has been able to raise the quality of her wines to the top ranks, becoming in the process a rising, even essential, star of the Côte-de-Nuits.
