94/100 Wine Enthusiast : "Discreet nose of wet limestone. Freshness and concentrated poise on the palate shows a structured, firm nature softened by inherent creaminess. Ripe lemon fruit sets bright accents while lemon pith highlights the creamy, textured midpalate. This wine is still tightly coiled, but promises a structure bathed in mellow light. The finish is long and chalky."

Details

Maison Albert Bichot, well-known in the Côte de Beaune region, was founded in 1831. It has acquired numerous plots throughout the Burgundy wine region and is now divided between several estates, each with its own independent teams and cellars.

Domaine du Pavillon is one of them. Located in Pommard, in a walled enclosure, it comprises 15 hectares of vines, nearly 4 of which are monopoly vineyards in the Pommard Clos des Ursulines appellation. The estate also produces two grands crus: the Corton Grand Cru Clos des Maréchaudes (monopoly) and the Corton-Charlemagne.

As with all Maison Bichot estates, care and respect for nature are of the utmost importance. The estate is certified organic (since 2018), controls its yields, and has a state-of-the-art winery renovated in 2016 to ensure optimal, parcel-by-plot vinification. Fine, rich and deep wines that we recommend you discover.
