In 1999, the Julien family purchased the small La Fleur-Morange estate, with its 3.5 hectares of very old vines, half Merlot and half Cabernet, ranging from 60 to... 100 years old. The terroir of this estate is unique, with primarily clay-sandy soils, also containing layers of limestone and alios.
The wines of Château la Fleur Morange are extremely well-regarded, often passing Crus Classés A and B in blind tastings. The owners achieved the feat of bringing this garage wine into the ranks of the Grands Crus Classés of Saint Emilion in 2012.
