Historically, it is on white wines that Domaine des Comtes Lafon has built its legend. Created by Jules Lafon at the end of the 19th century, it was originally located in Meursault; The family subsequently acquired a few plots of Montrachet, as well as three of the best premier crus of Volnay. René Lafon, grandson of Jules, began bottling at the estate in 1961. The current owner, Dominique Lafon, son of René (and great-grandson of Jules), is today one of the standard bearers of Burgundian excellence, with a reputation that goes far beyond our borders due to his unrivaled talents as a winemaker.
