Details

A Premier Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion since the classification's inception, Château Beauséjour Duffau-Lagarosse has been passed down through generations since 1847. Benefiting from exceptional terroir, the estate's 6.8 hectares draw their grapes from predominantly clay-limestone soil, which also contains Fronsac molasse.

Since 2021, the ninth generation of the Duffau-Lagarosse family has partnered with the Prisca Courtin family to care for the 45-year-old vines. These vines are planted primarily with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and face south/southwest. This exposure allows the vines to bask in the sun for a large part of the day.

The château's wines are made from meticulously hand-harvested grapes. With aging varying between 12 and 14 months depending on the vintage, they are consistently regular, perfectly balanced and very elegant.
