Since 1926, this Châteauneuf-du-Pape has always borne the same label, designed by the Amouroux family. Cinsault, Grenache Noir, and Syrah grapes come from terraces of rolled pebbles, red clay, and fragments of limestone and sandstone.
These grape varieties underwent a long maceration and a complex vinification process. The wine was aged for one year in 30-year-old oak casks. Balanced, this wine opens with aromas reminiscent of the Mediterranean: garrigue, spices, and ripe fruit. On the palate, ripe, even stewed, fruit flavors reappear, enhanced by a menthol finish. This is a wine that ages well and pairs wonderfully with a Tournedos Rossini.
