Details

Maison Louis Jadot is a wine merchant located in Beaune, Burgundy. The Beaune vineyard, located between Savigny-les-Beaune to the north and Pommard to the south, is the largest in the Côte de Beaune region. There are no Grands Crus in this commune, but 36 Premiers Crus.

In 1826, the Jadot family purchased a parcel of Beaune Premier Cru des Ursules. A few years later, in 1859, the Domaine was founded by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. By developing the wine trade to markets in Northern Europe, he already contributed to the reputation of Burgundy wines. Since then, several generations have managed this family estate.

In 1900, Louis Jean-Baptiste Jadot acquired several parcels for the estate: Corton Pougets, Corton Charlemagne, and Chevalier Montrachet Les Demoiselles.

Madame Jadot decided to sell the family estate in 1985 to Rudy Kopf. Since 1992, Pierre-Henry Gagey has run Maison Louis Jadot, and in 2014, his son Thibault joined him as Deputy Managing Director of the estate. Their vision remains the same: to produce quality, affordable Burgundy wines.
