Located near the Gironde estuary, in the commune of Cussac-Fort-Médoc, Château Lanessan confirms the saying that "great terroirs look to the water."
Adjacent to the Saint-Julien appellation and bordering prestigious Saint-Julien wines such as Château Gruaud Larose and Château Beychevelle, the vineyard of this property, which has become a benchmark among the great Haut-Médoc wines, extends over 45 hectares.
Château Lanessan has been owned for eight generations by the Bouteiller family, also owners of the châteaux of Sainte Gemme and Lachesnaye.
