A legendary estate in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune region, Domaine Ramonet enjoys a worldwide reputation among wine connoisseurs. Founded in 1920 by Pierre Ramonet upon his arrival in Burgundy, the estate quickly earned its stripes in France and abroad. Pierre Ramonet exports its wines worldwide and has been supplying Michelin-starred restaurants since the interwar period. Today, Pierre's grandsons, Noël and Jean-Claude Ramonet, maintain this reputation and expertise by preserving the winemaking techniques and style passed down from generation to generation. Domaine Ramonet is thus considered one of the most respected names in Chassagne-Montrachet.
The 17 hectares of vineyards, tended by the Ramonet family for three generations, are located between Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet. These plots, representing more than 24 appellations, are planted on exceptional terroirs. Chassagne-Montrachet is a land of white wines. Chardonnay and Aligoté are the main grape varieties cultivated. They account for 10 hectares of the total production. Pinot Noir and Gamay occupy the 7 hectares of vines dedicated to the Ramonet estate's red wines.
The white wines produced by the Ramonet brothers are benchmarks in the region and come from the greatest appellations such as Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru, Montrachet Grand Cru, and Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru.
