Clos d’Ora is a mysterious, secluded place, revealing the Mediterranean trilogy of vine, olive tree, and oak, within a preserved and protected natural environment. Here, the land and vines are cultivated using mules, guided by intuition, feeling, and a connection with nature. This is the new paradigm that Gérard Bertrand champions for humankind, for nature, and for the world.
A symbiosis occurs between the grape varieties and the terroirs on which they grow. This allows Syrah (on limestone) to form the backbone of Clos d’Ora and fosters the encounter between the enveloping power of Grenache (sublimely expressed on marl soils), the velvety, spicy touch of Mourvèdre, and the freshness that has become Carignan's signature in clay soils.
