Details

Owned by the Laurent-Perrier group since 1988, this legendary house, a paragon of Blanc de Blancs, operates independently within the group. Salon Champagne is made from a single grape variety, Chardonnay, from a single cru, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, and from a single vintage.

Like Delamotte, Salon is managed by Didier Depond, and the winemaking is overseen by Laurent-Perrier's cellar master, Michel Fauconnet. The Chardonnay grapes used in Salon do not undergo malolactic fermentation in order to preserve higher acidity and promote aging. Salon may seem reserved in its youth, but time is its ally. It reveals its full potential when the richness and texture merge with crystalline purity.
