Details

Vérité Winery was born from the meeting of two men: Jess Jackson, founder of one of California's most renowned wineries (Kendall Jackson), and Pierre Seillan, from a family of winemakers in Gascony, who produces wines in Bordeaux and Tuscany. Jess Jackson was convinced of the possibility of creating exceptional wines in the Sonoma terroir, and Pierre Seillan, recognizing the region's potential, agreed to establish a winery there in 1997. There, he put into practice the philosophy acquired after many years of experience: the principle of "droit de terre" (right of the soil), where the wine must express its terroir without constraint, thanks to the development of micro-vineyards.

To this end, he cultivates and vinifies separately around fifty micro-parcels, spread across four appellations: Alexander Valley, Knights Valley, Chalk Hill, and Bennett Valley, planted exclusively with Bordeaux grape varieties. These micro-crus are then meticulously blended, each a component contributing to the creation of incredibly complex wines. The estate is now run by his daughter Hélène and offers a range of three exceptional wines: La Muse, La Joie, and Le Désir.
