"Absolutely stunning nose - mandarin, truffle, sour cream, lemon sorbet. Also has hints of flint. A real success, with lingering notes of spice and dairy on the finish. Honeyed character as well. Stellar."

Details

Founded in 1829, Maison Bollinger, located in Aÿ, extends over a 165-hectare vineyard, 85% of which is Grands and Premiers Crus. 60% is Pinot Noir, whose powerful character is the hallmark of Bollinger champagnes. This house offers us very fine, vinous champagnes that are powerful, complex, refined, and low in dosage.

A symbol of excellence and perfection, the house has been one of the official suppliers to the English Crown since 1884. Maison Bollinger has 700,000 reserve magnums: it is the only house to possess such a precise palette of aromas to complement its blends. The finest vintages benefit from oak vinification, and all of its champagnes are aged twice as long as required by the appellation's rules.
