Founded in 1835, Delas Frères is now part of the very select circle of the greatest producers in the Rhône Valley, both in terms of the quality and diversity of the appellations produced. The acquisition of the estate by Champagnes Deutz in 1977, themselves acquired by Roederer in 1993, has not altered the soul of the wines, which have remained faithful to the terroirs from which they come. Fabrice Rosset (Champagnes Deutz), appointed to the management in 1996, quickly became aware of the enormous potential of the vineyard. He attached importance to the advice of Jacques Grange, a young oenologist with proven experience working with the greatest names in the Rhône, and who would truly be at the origin of the qualitative boom in production. To honor the newly established quality charter, significant investments were made: the winery was completely restored and the 7,000 missing vines were replanted. Delas owns around thirty hectares, including 10 in the Hermitage appellation, 18 in Crozes-Hermitage and two in Saint-Joseph.
