Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac is the union, from 1895, by Madame Godeau, of three old farms. Her lover, Monsieur Bouchard, had the château built in 1903. They kept the property for 30 years before successively selling it to a merchant (Mr. Allo), to a poet (Mr. Clément) and finally in 1956, to the Carrère family who bought only the vineyard. It was in 1997 that the Parent family acquired the property.
The vines, with an average age of 30 years, grow on a siliceous-gravelly and ferruginous soil
