Corton-Charlemagne
- Prieur Jacques
Vineyard located on the hillside of the Grands Crus of Corton. Facing due east, it overlooks the villages of Ladoix-Serrigny and climbs to the edge of the woods.
The soil is steep and very chalky, guaranteeing a Corton-Charlemagne with intense minerality.
The grapes are hand-harvested in small crates, then the whole bunches are pressed in a pneumatic press. The juice is settled after pressing for 12 to 14 hours at a controlled temperature. Alcoholic fermentation and aging take place in new oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation is 100% complete.
Aging time: 22 months.
