Vineyard located on the hillside of the Grands Crus of Corton. Facing due east, it overlooks the villages of Ladoix-Serrigny and climbs to the edge of the woods.
The soil is steep and very chalky, guaranteeing a Corton-Charlemagne with intense minerality.

The grapes are hand-harvested in small crates, then the whole bunches are pressed in a pneumatic press. The juice is settled after pressing for 12 to 14 hours at a controlled temperature. Alcoholic fermentation and aging take place in new oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation is 100% complete.
Aging time: 22 months.

Details

Since 1868, Domaine Jacques Prieur has created one of the rarest mosaics of terroirs in Burgundy. Today, he is certainly the only one to own vines in the largest appellations of both the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits: Chambertin, Musigny, Clos Vougeot, Echézeaux, Corton, Meursault and even Montrachet. This incredible collection is complemented by other prestigious appellations as well as 3 Clos Monopoles.
