Details

The Domaine de la Roquète (formerly spelled "Roquette") belongs to the Brunier family, which owns, among other things, the Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe, also in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It was acquired by the family in 1986, and consists of 29 hectares of AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape, 7 hectares of AOC Côtes du Ventoux, as well as 3 hectares of Vin de Pays, on the banks of the Rhône. The vineyard was rigorously restored after its purchase, and a modern winery was built in 1998. Dominated by Grenache, the wines are best drunk quite young and are of a straightforward and pure style. These are wines which, for the appellation, retain a beautiful freshness.
