Details

Magnificently located on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, Château La Lagune stands out among the finest examples of the Haut-Médoc appellation. At the helm of the estate since 2004, the young and talented oenologist Caroline Frey has infused this vineyard with all the energy, passion, and determination needed to elevate Château La Lagune to the highest level.

Located on a gravelly hillside, the Château La Lagune vineyard covers 80 hectares. Following the tradition of Bordeaux blending, the iconic Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot grape varieties are cultivated. Eager to implement environmentally friendly viticulture, Caroline Frey initiated an organic conversion in 2013. The vines are managed using organic and biodynamic farming practices.

From the vineyard to the winery, nothing has been left to chance and numerous works have been carried out to restore Château La Lagune to its former glory. From the restructuring of the vineyard to the creation of a new, ultra-modern vat room facilitating intra-plot management in order to allow for a better expression of the terroir, Château La Lagune has equipped itself with all the necessary tools to become one of the jewels of the Haut-Médoc appellation.
