Château Suduiraut Sauternes 1er Cru Classé 1947

This very vast estate was bought in 1992 by AXA Millésimes. Thanks to a geographically well-distributed vineyard, Suduiraut combines the power of Haut-Sauternais wines with the prestigious fruitiness found in the vintages of the Preignac and Barsac plateaus. The whole gives a complete nectar, very slow to age, and which, in prime years, borders on genius. The wines are born rich and dense, they are the fruit of concentrated grapes and low yields. There is, however, a subtle but constant evolution of the style, a search for purity and aromatic freshness, for an accomplished botrytis without being ultra-candied. The latest vintages reach an exceptional level thanks to this high-level work, embodying with increased precision and grace the specific potential of the terroir.
