Details

A family business since its founding in 1797, Maison Louis Latour is among the most renowned wine merchants and producers in Burgundy. It has remained a family business for over two centuries and is thus part of the exclusive circle of Henokiens. Florent Latour, representing the 11th generation, has now been at its helm since the passing of his brother, Louis Fabrice. Alongside him is Éléonore Latour, Louis Fabrice's daughter, who has joined him in this venture and already embodies the future of the estate. Maison Louis Latour has gradually built up a vast estate, stretching from Chambertin to Chevalier-Montrachet: 48 hectares, including 27 Grand Cru vineyards, supplemented by grape purchases. They cultivate Pinot Noir for their reds and Chardonnay for their whites.

The estate has committed to a decidedly more ecological and terroir-conscious approach by adopting sustainable farming practices (limited pesticide use, composting, and plowing of certain plots with horses). Great care is also taken during the winemaking process, respecting each grape variety, each appellation, and each plot. A unique feature: the estate has its own cooperage, allowing for bespoke aging based on the toasting level of the barrels and the time spent in oak.

The estate's style is precise and distinctive: from subtle and elegant red wines to rich and balanced white wines.
