Details

The Sine Qua Non winery is the creation of Austrian Manfred Krankl, who emigrated to California in the 1980s. After a few years and opening several restaurants, he settled in Ventura County to make wine as a hobby. Encouraged by his family and friends, who admired the quality of his wines, he began selling them commercially in 1994. From that first vintage, he received a very high score from Parker (95/100). Subsequently, the renowned American critic awarded him numerous 100/100 scores and even described him as "one of the most creative and multidimensional winemakers on the planet."
