Details

The immense aura of Clos Joliette stems in part from its terroir, a truly atypical 1.85-hectare plot, its 100% Petit Manseng grape variety, and its non-interventionist winemaking followed by extended aging in oak barrels for four to six years—a process that lends an air of mystery but justifies the singularity of the estate's wines.

Planted by the Migné family in 1929, this isolated terroir is recognized by enthusiasts, sommeliers, and connoisseurs worldwide, despite its limited production. Mr. Renaud took over the estate in 1990 and continued until his death in 2015, without altering the philosophy of the place or the mystique surrounding its wines.
