Details

Located west of the Mouton Rothschild and Lafite Rothschild vineyards, Duhart-Milon is planted on gravelly soil with a drop of over ten meters. When it was bought by the Rothschild (de Lafite) family in 1962, the estate had undergone a succession of owners (five in 25 years!) and the vineyard was in poor condition. Since the Lafite Rothschild teams took over the vineyard's cultivation and vinification, the wines have demonstrated increasing consistency. The quality significantly improved starting in 1978, and since 1982, the vintage has returned to a very high standard.

Duhart-Milon is a classic Pauillac. It perfectly combines concentration with immense distinction. The palate is straightforward and distinguished, developing spicy notes on the finish. The Lafite touch is truly noticeable. It is a wine that requires several years of aging in order to develop its full aromatic complexity.
